Unbeaten strawweight champion Seniesa "Super Bad” Estrada will defend her WBC and WBA world titles against former world champion Leonela Yudica on July 28th at Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
The entire card will stream live and exclusively in the US on ESPN+.
In 2019, Seniesa Estrada defeated Marlen Esparza, a U.S. Olympic bronze medalist, to secure the WBA interim flyweight world title. Building on her success, Estrada went on to claim the WBA minimumweight and WBO light flyweight titles in clashes against Anabel Ortiz and Tenkai Tsunami, respectively. Despite relinquishing those belts, she remained steadfast in her pursuit of becoming the undisputed champion in the minimumweight division.
In 2022, Estrada inked a deal with Top Rank, further solidifying her position as a force to be reckoned with. After a nearly 11-month hiatus, she returned to the ring in November, demonstrating her exceptional skills and shutting out Jazmin Gala Villarino. Her triumphant comeback set the stage for an extraordinary performance in March, where she secured the WBC belt by delivering an emphatic shutout victory over the previously undefeated Tina Rupprecht. Dominican Olympian Rohan “El Rayo” Polanco (9-0, 5 KOs) will face off against Panamanian-born contender Cesar "Rainman" Francis (12-1, 7 KOs) in an 8-round junior welterweight fight.
2016 U.S. Olympian Karlos Balderas (14-1, 12 KOs) faces Nahir Albright (15-2, 7 KOs) in an 8-round lightweight fight, former amateur standout Charlie Sheehy (6-0, 4 KOs) will see action in a 6-round lightweight tilt, and Subaru Murata (4-0, 4 KOs) returns in a 6-round junior featherweight battle.
