Get ready, fight fans! While there’s plenty of combat sports happening this weekend, we’re focusing on the sweet science. Headlining the boxing scene is the anticipated light heavyweight showdown between David Benavidez and David Morrell on Saturday, February 1 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Both men bring serious firepower - Benavidez carries the WBC interim belt, while Morrell holds the WBA “Regular” strap. The winner could earn a shot at the Beterbiev-Bivol champion down the line, so expect an all-action main event.

In the UK, two noteworthy cards feature rising British contenders. On Friday, January 31, middleweights George Liddard and Derrick Osaze square off at Indigo at The O2 in London. Liddard looks to build on a quick stoppage victory last December, while Osaze aims to rebound from a second-round loss last August.

Then on Saturday, February 1 at OVO Arena Wembley, super lightweight prospect Adam Azim battles former IBF champion Sergey Lipinets for the vacant IBO title. Azim’s explosive style clashes with Lipinets’ experience, making this a potential sleeper fight of the weekend.

Closing out the slate on Sunday, February 2 in Flint, Michigan, two-division undisputed queen Claressa Shields defends her WBC heavyweight crown against unbeaten Danielle Perkins. With the vacant IBF and WBO heavyweight belts also up for grabs, Shields looks to add even more history to her already impressive résumé. Perkins, meanwhile, seeks to pull off the upset.
