Tyson Fury’s return to the ring in 2026 is beginning to take shape, and the former heavyweight champion has made it clear that Anthony Joshua is just one of several major opponents he has in mind.

British fighters have played a major role in the division’s prominence in recent years, with Fury at the centre of that resurgence. Having spent the past 12 months away from competition, the 37-year-old has been strongly linked to a long-awaited domestic showdown with Joshua, reportedly pencilled in for September - provided both men win separate bouts beforehand.

Speaking to Al Foran, Fury outlined a wide-ranging hit list for his potential comeback, naming five heavyweight rivals he would be open to facing. Alongside Joshua, Fury mentioned an Usyk trilogy, Fabio Wardley, Daniel Dubois and Deontay Wilder, underlining that there would be no shortage of big fights if he returns.

Fury has already shared the ring with two of those names, Usyk and Wilder, across five bouts. Usyk is currently in negotiations to defend his three world titles against Wilder next year, as he looks to face the only major heavyweight of this era he has not yet fought. Wardley, now the WBO champion, is hoping to make his first title defence in March or April, while Dubois has yet to confirm his next move.
