In Holstebro, Denmark, Dina Thorslund (20-0, 8 KOs) solidified her reign in the bantamweight division, clinching the WBC title with a unanimous decision against Yuliahn Avila Luna (25-4-1, 4 KOs). The bout saw Thorslund asserting dominance, upping her pace as the fight progressed. Although Luna showed promise in the early rounds, it was the Danish fighter who emerged as the clear victor, with judges scoring the contest 97-93, 99-91, and 98-92.
Meanwhile, in a stunning turn of events in the UK, Lyndon Arthur (23-1-0, 16 KOs) displayed resilience and tenacity, overcoming an early setback to defeat Braian Suarez (18-2-0, 17 KOs) and capture the IBO world light heavyweight belt. Having been knocked down in the fourth round, Arthur bounced back to end Suarez’s night in the 10th round with a powerful body shot. The impressive win adds to Arthur’s growing reputation, who now confidently states his ability to “take a punch” and thrive in challenging scenarios.
The evening also saw standout performances from super middleweights Jacob Bank (11-0, 6 KOs) and Hebert Sousa (5-0, 3 KOs).
