In a high-stakes WBC eliminator, Ryan “The Bruiser” Rozicki (20-1, 19 KOs) showcased his power and precision, securing a first-round TKO victory over Olanrewaju “God’s Power” Durodola (43-10, 40 KOs). The fight, held at the Emera Centre Stadium in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, saw Rozicki dominate the 43-year-old Durodola with a relentless assault, leading to an early stoppage at 1:47. This emphatic win positions Rozicki as the official mandatory challenger for the WBC cruiserweight world title, currently held by Noel Mikaelyan.
In Ludwigsburg, Germany, the night also belonged to 44-year-old former two-division world champion Felix Sturm (44-6-3, 19 KOs), who delivered a commanding performance against Sukru Altay (15-4, 14 KOs). Their rematch, following a closely contested bout in February, left no room for doubt this time. Sturm’s experience and skill were on full display as he landed precise and impactful punches, gradually breaking down the resilient Altay. The fight culminated in a ninth-round stoppage by the referee, reaffirming Sturm’s prowess in the ring.
The event also featured unbeaten light heavyweight Hamza Salahudin (11-0, 10 KOs), who added another victory to his record. His opponent, former world champion Cesar Rene Cuenca (48-5, 2 KOs), who once boasted a 48-0 record, has faced a challenging phase in his career with five consecutive losses. Cuenca, unable to continue the fight, did not come out for the fifth round, handing Salahudin a notable win and further cementing his status as a rising star in the light heavyweight division.
