Rolando “Rolly” Romero isn’t bothered by the buzz about a potential Ryan Garcia-Devin Haney rematch in October. In fact, he welcomes it – after he plans on beating the “s&%t” out of Ryan Garcia on May 2 at Times Square in New York City as part of the “Fatal Fury” mega-card.

Romero says the rumored Garcia-Haney II can happen for all he cares because by then, Ryan will be recovering from a brutal loss at Rolly’s hands. Turki Alalshikh’s plan is to line up big fights and big paydays regardless of what happens, so it wouldn’t shock anyone if Garcia and Haney still squared off whether they both win or lose. “I don’t care,” Romero told Ring Magazine. “They can rematch after me. I’ll beat the s&%t out of Ryan and they can rematch.”

Despite claiming he’s not interested in facing Haney if he pulls off an upset over Garcia, few believe Rolly would walk away from a massive paycheck and the spotlight. So expect more drama if Turki floats a giant offer for a Rolly-Haney matchup down the road.
