In an anticipated ten-round bout at the Cintermex, Monterrey, Mexico, super middleweights Diego Pacheco (19-0, 16 KOs) and Manuel Gallegos (19-2-1, 16 KOs) stepped into the ring in an exciting matchup.
Diego Pacheco left an indelible mark on the fight, scoring an impressive fourth-round knockout win over Manuel Gallegos. Pacheco, known for his knockout power, dropped Gallegos with a well-placed left-hand body shot. Moments later, he capitalized on the hurt Gallegos with a rapid succession of heavy shots. Referee Sergio Hernandez stepped in to halt the contest at 2:45 of the fourth round. Throughout the fight, Pacheco showcased his arsenal of uppercuts, overhand rights, and hard body shots that slowly wore down his opponent.
After the fight, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn announced plans to pit Pacheco against a top 15 contender later this year, hinting at a potential step up against Jaime Munguia and Edgar Berlanga for next year. Gabriel Rosado, commenting on DAZN Boxing, commended Pacheco’s performance, praising his ability to absorb and deliver powerful shots, labeling him as a “real fighter.”
In the undercard, Eduardo Hernandez (34-1, 31 KOs) achieved victory over Hector Garcia (20-8-4, 13 KOs), while Jonathan Rodriguez (24-2-1, 16 KOs) and Israel Gonzalez (28-5-2, 11 KOs) battled to a split draw. Neider Valdez (9-0-2, 8 KOs) of Monterrey also competed, securing an impressive knockout victory against Isaias Ortiz (5-4, 3 KOs). Federico Pacheco (4-0, 3 KOs), Diego’s younger brother, was also in action, putting on an impressive performance in his fourth professional bout.
