Promoter Frank Warren is open to making a fascinating matchup by pitting former IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin against young contender Moses Itauma.
Warren expressed his excitement about the potential clash, stating, "I love it. You've got all these former world champions and all these guys coming out and challenging guys who've just turned 20 and had 10 fights. I think it's brilliant. I'm interested in all these fights with Moses. It's part of his quest and his drive to win a world title."

The promoter also hinted at other lucrative possibilities for Itauma in the near future. When asked about a potential shot at the WBA regular title - perhaps even a bout with Kubrat Pulev - Warren noted that, with titles currently held by the likes of Usyk and Daniel Dubois, it might be best to let the dust settle after Dubois defends his belt on February 22 during the Riyadh Season show against Joe Parker. For now, matching Martin with Itauma is seen as a move to bolster the young fighter’s resume.
What are your thoughts on this matchup - will the veteran edge out the rising star, or is this the spark that propels Itauma to the top?
