Lawrence Okolie, former cruiserweight and bridgerweight champion, has officially teamed up with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions. This strategic move is part of Okolie’s ambition to climb the ranks in the heavyweight division, with Warren known for managing a deep roster of heavyweight talent, including Tyson Fury, Daniel Dubois, and rising star Moses Itauma.

Reflecting on his decision, Okolie, 31, emphasized that aligning with Queensberry feels like the natural next step in his journey. "If you’re a heavyweight in Britain or the world, it is the Warrens," he shared. With aspirations to become a three-weight world champion, Okolie noted that his struggle to make weight in lower divisions ultimately pushed him to commit to the heavyweight path.

Okolie’s career boasts a WBO cruiserweight title win in 2021 against Krzystof Glowacki. Although he later lost this title to Chris Billam-Smith, Okolie quickly bounced back with a one-round TKO of Lukasz Rozanski for the WBC bridgerweight title, which he subsequently vacated.

Warren expressed confidence in Okolie’s potential, saying, "Lawrence possesses all the attributes to make a big impact at heavyweight. Without the burden of cutting weight, his natural talent and power will shine." With the new partnership, Warren envisions an exciting lineup of fights that will propel Okolie towards the heavyweight elite.
