On Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez was defending his WBA, WBC, and WBO World super middleweight titles in a bout against the undefeated Edgar Berlanga. The event, broadcasted on DAZN PPV, also featured exciting matchups, including Erislandy Lara defending his WBA middleweight title and Caleb Plant in a thrilling clash with Trevor McCumby.
In the main event, Canelo Alvarez outboxed and outworked Edgar Berlanga to win a lopsided unanimous decision over twelve rounds. Canelo dropped Berlanga with a left hook in the third round, but Berlanga managed to recover and made it to the bell. Berlanga used his jab effectively in the middle rounds, even managing to win a few, but Canelo’s relentless pressure and power punches were too much for the previously undefeated Berlanga. In the final rounds, Canelo turned up the heat, driving Berlanga around the ring and landing solid shots. The final round saw both fighters engaging in some of the bout's most exciting exchanges, but Canelo’s dominance secured him the victory. The scores were 117-110, 118-109, and 118-109.

In the co-main event, WBA World middleweight champion Erislandy Lara stopped Danny "Swift" Garcia in the ninth round. The fight started slow, with little action in the early rounds. However, by the ninth round, Lara knocked Garcia down, and after the round, Garcia’s corner decided to call it off. The stoppage victory marked another successful defense for Lara in what had been a mostly tactical contest up until that point.

Former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant came back from a knockdown to stop Trevor McCumby in the ninth round. Plant was dropped in the fourth round but recovered well and dominated the rest of the fight. In the ninth round, Plant cut McCumby’s right eyebrow and unleashed a barrage of unanswered punches, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight just before the bell. It was a gutsy performance from Plant, who picked up the WBA 168-lb interim title.

Fulton was dropped in the fifth round but rallied back in the later rounds, particularly in the final two rounds, to win on two of the three scorecards, 96-93 and 95-94. The decision left many fans questioning the outcome, as Castro appeared to control much of the fight.
In a welterweight contest, Ricardo Salas knocked out Roiman Villa in the third round of a scheduled ten-round fight. The action was fierce, but a short right hand from Salas sent Villa to the canvas, where he stayed for the full count.
Super middleweight Bek Nurmaganbet stopped Joshua Conley in the second round, overwhelming Conley with a flurry of punches, forcing the referee to halt the bout. In another bout, super featherweight Jonathan Lopez won an eight-round unanimous decision over Richard "Ricky El'Castigo" Medina after dropping him in the final seconds of the fight. Lopez dominated most of the fight, earning scores of 80-71 on all three scorecards.
