Dillian "The Body Snatcher" Whyte (28-3, 19 KO) faces undefeated American contender Jermaine Franklin (21-0, 14 KO) on Saturday November 26 at the OVO Arena, Wembley, live worldwide on DAZN.
The fight against the 29-year-old Franklin will be the first for the 35-year-old Whyte since his early loss to WBC champion Tyson Fury in April this year. "It's great to be back at what I love," Whyte said of his return to the ring. “I can’t wait to step into the ring and show the world that I can come back and remind everyone why I was number one in the WBC rankings for four years. The undefeated Franklin is a dangerous opponent, but I will teach him a few lessons on November 26th. Most importantly, I will teach him how to fight.”
Franklin is considered one of the most promising American heavyweights, but over the past three years, he has only fought once against a second-tier boxer.
“I am very happy to box in the UK,” said the American. “They love boxing, and I intend to declare myself by defeating Dillian Whyte. I want the fans to make noise, love my style of boxing and hail me as the champion. The world will see the real Jermaine Franklin."
In the co-feature, British Heavyweight Fabio Wardley (14-0, 13 KOs) facing with Nantwhich’s Nathan Gorman (19-1, 13 KOs) for the vacant British title.
