A late injury has reshuffled the main event for “LA Friday Night Fights,” forcing light heavyweight prospect Yair Gallardo to withdraw from his bout with David Stephens. In his place, a welterweight clash between Fort Lauderdale’s once-beaten Eric Tudor (12-1, 7 KOs) and Las Vegas-based Kevin “Thunderstorm” Johnson (12-5, 8 KOs) will now headline on Friday, April 25, live from Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California. The show, presented by Paco Presents and Golden Boy Promotions, streams live on DAZN starting at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT.

Tudor, a 23-year-old of Romanian heritage, brings an extensive amateur background with over 200 bouts, capturing accolades in the Silver Gloves and National PAL competitions. Known for effortlessly switching between patient boxing and power punching, he rebounded from a shock defeat in 2023 by rattling off three straight wins. His most recent performance was a near-shutout decision over the then 28-1 Harold Calderon, which put him back on course for bigger fights. “I have been working hard in the gym,” said Tudor. “I am going to prove that I have what it takes to be the best.”

Johnson turned professional in 2016, scoring five consecutive victories. Though he’s suffered losses to top-tier competition, including current IBF champion Richardson Hitchins, he’s also claimed multiple upsets and stoppage wins over formidable foes. The Detroit-born fighter is eager to test Tudor’s mettle. “They call me Thunderstorm for a reason,” Johnson said. “There’s a severe weather alert coming to Long Beach on fight night - he won’t be able to find cover from this storm!”

In the co-feature, undefeated super featherweight Justin Viloria (8-0, 6 KOs) will take on Sinaloa’s Alejandro Yung Wong (12-1, 6 KOs). Rounding out the card are super lightweight battles featuring Ricardo Sonny Robledo (10-0, 3 KOs) vs. Dante Ettore (11-1-2, 7 KOs) and Javier Meza (2-0, 2 KOs) vs. Luciano Ramos (2-9). Additional action sees Miami’s Danilo Diez (2-0) and bantamweight Roy Cano debuting against their respective challengers. Tickets are available at events.thunderstudios.com, promising Southern California fight fans a full evening of competitive matchups.
