Jack Catterall will climb to welterweight on Saturday, 5 July, meeting unbeaten Harlem Eubank in a DAZN-streamed main event from Manchester’s AO Arena. The matchup gives Catterall a chance to rebound from February’s split-decision loss to Arnold Barboza Jr. and erase memories of a frustrating 18-month 140-lb campaign that saw him beat Regis Prograis but fall controversially to Josh Taylor and Barboza.

For Eubank, nephew of the legendary Chris Sr., the fight is sink-or-swim: victory elevates the Brighton stylist from domestic attraction to bona-fide contender, while defeat would underline pundits’ doubts about his power and top-tier readiness. The 31-year-old is riding a four-fight knockout streak, most recently dismantling Tyrone McKenna in March.
At 147 lbs Catterall says he expects “more snap and volume now I’m not boiling down.” The Chorley southpaw brings ring IQ, a sharp back-hand and the incentive of re-entering world-title conversations in a division suddenly flush with opportunity. Eubank counters that his footwork and timing will negate Catterall’s experience: “Undefeated for a reason - I’ll stay that way on July 5.”
Promoters view the bout as crossroads drama: Catterall must prove he still belongs among the elite after near-misses at 140, while Eubank gets the marquee name and pressure that every late-blooming prospect craves.
